Amada's Biography:

In 1995, Andrew Llyod Webber's production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat", came through West Palm Beach looking for choirs to perform with their national touring company at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. One of those choirs at the auditions was a select group of students from Bear Lakes Middle School. The musical director Mr. Sean Berry was able to call them the "Dream Choir" after be selected to perform. Amada was one of those students.

Ever since that show she went on to study drama at Palm Beach Lakes Community High School where she was under the direction of Mrs. Patricia Bates who ran the drama department and Dr. Glen Arfsten who ran the chorus department. While she was there she participated in various High School District X Drama Competitions. These competitions let Amada get first hand experience in directing scenes, singing solos, duets, and ensemble musical theatre pieces. There at those competitions she went on to win Superiors and Excellents. Also she was actively involved in the drama departments childrens theatre program.

The Choral Activities, like the annual Disney Candlelight Processional a retelling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator and a 50-piece orchestra was some of the events that led her to keep singing. She also annually would compete to perform with the All State Choir which is a select group of music students who auditioned and went on to workshop and sing in Tampa with other talented choir members from all parts of the state.

Amada's Senior year was filled with various activites she was a nominee for the Pathfinder Award. She received The Chorus Member of the Year award as well as the Thespian of the year award. A performance with a show called "Teen Cabaret" which is exactly as it sounds a Teen cabaret of various teenagers having to audition and then perform their pieces in the outdoor amphitheatre got her written about in The Kravis Centers Monthly Magazine called Ovations.

After graduating from High School Amada continued her education at Palm Beach Community College letting her showcase her talent in the Theatre departments productions as well as the Jazz show choir called Troubadours. Also while she was attending Palm Beach Community College she participated in other various competitions winning first place for musical theatre in Palm Beach County and Florida. She also was nominated for Irene Ryan Scholarships for her role as Domina in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum & her ensemble role in a student written production called Colorblind. Particpating in the jazz vocal ensemble also let her travel to New York & Los Angeles to be at the annual International Association of Jazz Educators Conference.

Amada auditoned at the Lake Worth Playhouse and was selected to perform in the musical The Unsinkable Molly Brown which performed at The Lake Worth Playhouse & The Minack Theatre in Cornwall England.

All of this led Amada to continue her studies at The University Of Miami. As she worked on receiving her Bachelors she was in multiple theatre productions as well as participated in many choir concerts and performances.

After graduating from The University of Miami with her Bachelors in Music and a double major in Theatre she worked for Boogie Man George Entertainment as an office manager and karaoke host. She has donated her karaoke equipment from time to time for various fundraisers and just happens to hold the title of Karaoke Queen of Florida.

Finally in February of 2008 she made the big move to the Big Apple/NYC and only after a month found full time employment. But she immediatly began working backstage for various theatre companies which include working as an Assistant Director/Website Designer for Bubby's Shadow (White Rabbit Theatre and Mo Pula Productions), Assistant Stage Manager for The Marathon 08 (Ensemble Studio Theatre), and stage manager for The Painter as well as Torrents (The Barracuda Theatre Club).

As a website designer she has donated her time creating sites for various shows such as Bubby's Shadow , The Breakfast Club Project , Combing Through Life's Tangles as well as modernized updates for BoogieManGeorge.com and HairstylistsForHumanity.org.

She's a member of the South Florida Theatre League, Women's Theatre Project and is an official public notary for the state of New York.

In addition to everything else, she is an event organizer for thrill the world and hopes to raise money and peoples spirits through dancing thriller in October of 2009 Click here for more info.

She recently made her NY debut in Crimes of the Heart as Lenny (Rockaway Theatre Company) and is currently building her acting and singing credits in various productions throughout New York.
